'Big Fellas' out NOW on DVD

“Big Fellas” is a South African screwball comedy. Two
desperate guys, who have made  a documentary about the
modelling industry, embark on a road trip from Cape Town
to Johannesburg to close a deal to sell their film. One
problem - they need a BEE partner, and they need one fast.

Out on a Limb (2005)


Out on a Limb the hilarious comedy drama caper,
filmed in Cape Town in 2004 and produced by
Theta Films and co-financed by the Industrial
Development Corporation of SA won the BEST
COMEDY award at the 2004 Wine Country Film
Festival in Napa Valley, California. Executive
Producer Costa Theo explained that this was the first
award the film has won since premiering at Cannes
in May this year. Comedy is not an easy genre to
compete in especially in the USA where there is so
much competition. The film featured in a strong
contingent of South African films that were also
screened at the festival alongside approximately
120 other films from all over the world. The wine
festival is characterised by films with food and wine
themes and Out on a Limb was invited to attend
after its screening in Cannes, with it’s food theme
and television chef sub plot.
